Camping trip sign-up sheet

Group trips go wrong in two ways: four camp stoves and no can opener, or everyone assuming someone else has the firewood. This list splits shared meals and gear before anybody starts packing.

Tips for your camping trip

Split meals by group

One group or family can cover each dinner, so nobody cooks every night.

Buy firewood near the campsite

Moving firewood can spread pests, and some areas restrict it. Check the rules where you are staying.

List the small things

Add a can opener, lighter and trash bags. They are cheap, but you will miss them at the site.

Check for coverage before you leave

Open the sheet the week before, and sort out any gaps while there is still time to shop.

Common questions

What should a group bring camping?

Shared meals, a stove, a cooler with ice, firewood, lanterns and a first aid kit are the main things to divide up.

Can each family cover one meal?

Yes. The list starts with breakfast and dinner slots sized to your group, and you can change them.

Can I use this without phone service at the campsite?

Fill it in before you leave, then print a copy if you will be out of range.
