Church potluck sign-up sheet

Fellowship meals usually run on a clipboard in the lobby, which misses everyone who was away that Sunday. Use the printed version, the online link, or both, and keep kitchen and cleanup jobs on the same list.

Tips for your church potluck

Run paper and online together

Put a printed sheet in the lobby for those who prefer it, then copy those names onto the online sheet.

Include the serving jobs

A list of food alone leaves the same few people washing up. Setup, serving and cleanup belong on the sheet too.

Label the dishes

Ask people to mark dishes containing nuts or other common allergens, so everyone can eat with confidence.

Check your kitchen rules

Some church kitchens have their own rules for ovens, storage and cleanup. Share them with the volunteers.

Common questions

How many dishes do I need for a church potluck?

For 40 people, the list starts with four mains, seven sides and four desserts. Adjust it for your congregation.

Can members sign up without an account?

Yes. They only need the link and a name, which suits members of every age.

Can I reuse this for a monthly meal?

Yes. Start a new sheet from the same template for each meal.
