Tips for your teacher appreciation

Ask the office first

Check the staff count, the room you can use, and any allergies or school rules on outside food.

Give teachers time to enjoy it

Parent helpers can cover lunch duty or classrooms if your school allows it, so staff can actually sit down.

Share it through the class parents

Class parents and PTA channels reach more families than one newsletter mention.

Don't forget the other staff

Include office staff, custodians, aides and cafeteria teams in your headcount.

Common questions

What should parents bring for a teacher appreciation lunch?

Mains, salads, desserts and drinks cover most lunches. Label anything containing common allergens.

When is Teacher Appreciation Week?

In the US, it is usually held during the first full week of May.

Can I make a sheet for each day of the week?

Yes. Rename the groups to days, or start a separate sheet for each one.
